He swore an oath in 1999 in Lyon and began his career as a lawyer in Montreal (Canada) within the Intellectual Property Department of the Ogilvy-Renault firm. At that time he published reference articles in the right to the image. Back in France in 2000, he joined the bar of Lyon and then opened in 2003 a second office in Annemasse (Haute-Savoie). Surrounded by his collaborators, he refocused his activity mainly in criminal law, labour law and family law and intervened in numerous media trials (Neveux, Levy, Manissieux robbery, Nallet, Tricotage Cevenol, Foundation Brigitte Bardot, murder of the retiree of Armoy...).lgdsQUAGE,

In 2006, Christophe Cottet-Bretonnier was a lawyer of the civil party in the Fauviau case before the Criminal Court in a case considered the most serious ever judged in amateur sport1, with the presence of numerous French and foreign media during the trial week2, 3.

Associative and athletic Engagement

Before starting his law school, Christophe Cottet-Bretonnier became a second-round tennis player.

At the age of 18, he created and organized with Guillaume Thieulot the "Trophy of Hopes"9 two consecutive years. This tennis tournament-exhibition on 5 days led him to engage notably Yannick Noah, Arnaud Boetsch or even Fabrice Santoro14.

The concept of the trophy of hopes is later taken over by the American company Proserv. It still exists today under the name "Bridge of Generations"10, an international tournament reserved for 15/16 years, which takes place every year in Avignon.

This passion for tennis will never leave him, either in his career as a lawyer or in his personal associative involvement as chairman of the Litigation commission of the Lyon Tennis League (2005 to 2017)11 Or as a member (since 2008) then president (since 13 April 2018) of the Commission of agents to the French Tennis Federation12.

On 2 October 2018, Christophe COTTT-Bretonnier is appointed by the Executive Board of the CNOSF (French National Olympic and Sports Committee) member of the Interfederal Agents ' Commission (ICSW).
